I’m delighted to introduce Sheila Hyland, a seasoned veteran in the field of broadcast journalism with over two decades of experience. Sheila has made her mark working with major network affiliates, including ABC, CBS, and Fox, taking on roles from managing editor and producer to writer, reporter, and anchor.
Sheila’s career is highlighted by her involvement in over 10,000 interviews, providing coverage on significant national events over three decades, and engaging in in-depth conversations with a diverse array of guests, from heads of state to celebrated figures in business, entertainment, and sports.
Renowned for her credibility and as a familiar face in regional TV news, Sheila has been honored with numerous awards throughout her reporting career. Beyond her professional achievements, Sheila is deeply committed to her community. She dedicates her time to various organizations and nonprofits as a volunteer, speaker, and emcee. She also contributes on-camera for local, regional, and national segments on Comcast Newsmakers.
Sheila is also a founding board member of the Pittsburgh Children’s Advocacy Center and an active member of Pittsburgh Professional Women. Additionally, she holds the position of operations manager at Luminari, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of teenagers through unique summer programs.
