SUMMARY:Everyone is a Peacemaker!
DESCRIPTION:Peace does not begin in policy. It begins in people.\nJoin the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh for the launch of Every Rotarian a Peacemaker\,\na new initiative focused on practical peacemaking in everyday life at home\, at work\, and in our communities.\n\nA new half day workshop currently in development\, Informal Conflict Mediation\, will teach practical mediation principles such as active listening\, finding common ground\, and reducing reactivity. Unlike formal mediation processes\, this approach is designed for everyday situations where tensions are escalating and relationships matter. \nSpeakers at the March 11 launch ceremony will include Elaine Parke\, Rotarian and recipient of 2025 “International Exceptional Woman of Peace Lifetime Achievement Award.” Dr. Melvin Steals\, Former Pittsburgh school principal to initiate a school-based version of this model and composer of lyrics for the Spinners famous classic\, “Could it Be I’m Falling in Love”\, and Linda Fischer Bruce\, esteemed Rotary Member of the original Pittsburgh Club’s 12 Peace Habits Project Team Club President Eric Moye will serve as emcee\, guiding the audience through speaker introductions and welcoming remarks. \nThe March timing is intentional. Within the 12 Peace Habits framework\, March focuses on resolving conflicts\, fittingly described as “in like a lion\, out like a lamb.” \n\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, March 11\, 2026 at 11:45 AM\nFogo de Chão Steakhouse\n\nReserve your seat:\nhttps://qrco.de/Peacemaker\n\n\nThis is a powerful opportunity to be part of something meaningful and timely.\n\n\n#Peacemaker #Rotary #ElaineParke #DrMelvinSteals #LindaFischerBruce

SUMMARY:Postponed-PEEL Business Event: Safety & Preparedness
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE:\n\n>>>IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PEEL<<<\n\n\nWe want to thank those of you who registered for Friday’s event and to let you know about an important update. After much consideration\, we have decided to postpone. We feel it’s important to wait until a time when attendees can be fully present and focused.\n\n\nThe headlines and conversations happening right now are extremely charged\, and while this type of event is much needed\, we want to be very thoughtful about the impact. We feel moving forward this week could unintentionally trigger divide\, debate\, or conflict\, which goes against our intention to create a safe and uplifting environment for everyone. Out of sensitivity to our guests and community\, we believe rescheduling is the most appropriate choice.\n\n\nThis event is not cancelled. It is postponed\, and it will be rescheduled. We are committed to offering this training because it is so needed and valuable.\n\nThursday\, September 19th for one of PEEL’s signature Pillar Events focused on workplace safety\, community preparedness\, and proactive leadership.\nThis event is designed to empower professionals with practical knowledge and tools that can be used in real-life emergency situations. Attendees will learn life-saving techniques\, discuss risk management strategies\, and explore how to create safer environments—whether at work\, in public spaces\, or at home.\nIn addition to impactful speakers and hands-on demonstrations\, we’ll also host a networking lunch\, vendor tables\, and meaningful conversations around how to lead with confidence in crisis. This is a perfect opportunity to connect\, learn\, and collaborate with professionals from across industries who value knowledge\, preparedness\, and community.\nThe event will conclude with an extended opportunity for continued learning and service\, as well as details on how attendees can take next steps in supporting safety initiatives.\nLet’s get prepared\, together.

SUMMARY:Real Talk: PEEL Women's Health & Wellness Event. Bodies-Boobs & Zero BS!
DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn today’s whirlwind of health\, wellness\, mental health\, hormones\, menopause\, food/nutrition\, and ever-changing diets\, it feels like just when we’ve got a handle on things\, the ground shifts beneath us with new developments or personal body changes. It’s all too easy to feel lost\, embarrassed\, or unsure where to turn for answers\, leaving us wrapped in frustration. Sound familiar? If so\, this event is crafted with you in mind! \nWe’ve gathered a panel of compassionate healthcare professionals here to demystify those daunting\, awkward\, and even embarrassing inquiries. And the best part? You don’t even have to voice your questions out loud. Upon registering\, you’ll receive an email with a link to anonymously submit any question\, concern\, or comment you wish to be addressed during our gathering (within reasonable bounds\, of course). These experts are equipped to handle nearly anything thrown their way and are eager to assist. \nLadies\, it’s perfectly fine not to have all the answers\, and it’s certainly not okay to navigate these waters in solitude. Let’s champion the normalcy of discussing these topics openly. Together\, let’s seek solutions\, uplift one another\, and cultivate a community of support and understanding. This event promises to be a sanctuary of safety\, comfort\, and a ‘no boys allowed’ policy. So\, bring along your best friend\, sister\, neighbor\, or anyone who could use this enlightening experience. Leave our luncheon empowered and ready to face whatever comes your way—be it hormones\, menopause\, body changes\, dietary confusion\, or mental health discussions. We’re stronger together. Let’s embark on this journey hand in hand!
